The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow heatwave alerts for the Kalyana Karnataka region, advising residents to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities between 11:30 am and 5 pm. Kalaburagi deputy commissioner Fauzia Tarannum emphasized the need for caution as temperatures remain 3-4 degrees Celsius above normal.
