A father in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for the alleged murder of his 11-year-old twin daughters, who were found with deep cuts on their necks. The incident occurred at their home, and the father reportedly surrendered to the police after the crime. The mother, Reshma Chhetri, has accused him of being an alcoholic and subjecting her to physical abuse, claiming their relationship deteriorated after their marriage in 2014. She alleged that he installed CCTV cameras throughout their home and would assault her when she attempted to visit her parental home. Reshma stated that she was forced to leave her daughters behind while staying with her son at her parents' house for nine months, returning later to find her daughters still in the home. The night of the incident, she described a normal family dinner before her husband took the twins to his room. Following the crime, police discovered the bodies and have initiated a forensic investigation.
