A tragic accident on Sohna Road in Gurugram claimed the life of 21-year-old Praveen Kumar, a food delivery rider from Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when Kumar was struck from behind by a speeding Thar vehicle near the entrance of the Radisson Hotel while on his way to deliver an order. Despite wearing a helmet, he sustained critical head injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Civil Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported the incident, and one managed to photograph the vehicle's registration plate before the driver fled the scene. An FIR was subsequently filed against the unidentified driver under sections addressing negligence and rash driving. Kumar, who had moved to Gurugram about a year ago to support his family, was the sole breadwinner for his mother and younger sister. His body was handed over to the family after an autopsy on Wednesday.
