In a shocking incident, Chandrashekhar, a kitchen staff member at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India, has been arrested for illegally selling IPL tickets at exorbitant prices ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹19,000. The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) discovered that over 180 tickets were sold, amounting to approximately ₹17.52 lakh (around $21,000 USD). Complaints about the resale of IPL tickets prompted the CCB to investigate, leading to Chandrashekhar's arrest. It was revealed that tickets were booked in bulk through Ticketgenie under company names, which were then diverted to the black market. This is not the first instance of such a scam at the venue; a similar operation occurred during a previous match, where 81 tickets were sold at inflated prices. The police are currently searching for Ganesh Pareekshit, a member of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), who is reportedly absconding and believed to be linked to the ticket racket.
