On April 15, an 11-year-old boy suffered severe burn injuries after being allegedly thrown into a burning tandoor by a catering worker during a wedding in Malauli Gosai village, located in Basti district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The incident occurred when the boy repeatedly asked for rasgullas from a food stall. Enraged, the catering contractor threatened the boy before lifting him and placing him on the hot oven. The child lost his balance and fell into the tandoor, resulting in severe burns from his face to his waist. Family members heard his screams and quickly pulled him out. He was initially taken to Ayodhya Medical College and later referred to Lucknow Medical College due to the severity of his injuries. Police have filed a case against the accused, who fled the scene, and teams are currently working to locate and apprehend him. The investigation is ongoing.
