In Mumbai, police arrested 22-year-old Subh Agarwal, an MBA student, in connection with the deaths of two fellow MBA students who suffered suspected drug overdoses during a concert at the NESCO Exhibition Centre on April 11. This arrest brings the total number of individuals detained in the case to eight. Agarwal allegedly delivered a batch of Ecstasy pills to another student, Pratik Pandey, who is also among the arrested. The incident involved several students from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), where two girls collapsed after consuming the drugs; one died, while the other remains hospitalized. Additionally, a 28-year-old male student also died after experiencing severe symptoms during the concert. Investigators suspect that Ayush Sahitya, who is currently absconding, is the main supplier of the drugs. The police uncovered a WhatsApp group used for drug transactions related to the event, which was deleted afterward. NESCO has stated it is cooperating with the ongoing investigation and denies any negligence.
