On Saturday, Bihar's Deputy Chief Ministers, Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, along with Nishant Kumar, the son of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, were assigned Z category security. This security detail comprises 22 trained personnel, including four to six armed commandos. The decision was made following a review of security arrangements during a State Security Committee meeting. Additionally, Shravan Kumar, a former minister and close aide of Nitish Kumar, will receive Y+ security. Interestingly, Nishant Kumar, who is not a long-standing politician, is being granted this protection due to his active involvement in political activities and his connection to the former Chief Minister's family. Former CM Nitish Kumar also retains Z+ security as a Rajya Sabha member, while former Deputy CM Vijay Sinha's security was downgraded from Z+ to Z category.
