In Pune, Maharashtra, a lawyer, his wife, and their minor daughter have been charged with the murder of a 32-year-old woman who worked as the lawyer's assistant. The incident occurred on Thursday when the lawyer's wife, suspecting an affair between her husband and the victim, allegedly attacked the woman with a bat and a sharp weapon after binding her. The victim had been employed at the law office for three-and-a-half years. When the victim did not return home, her husband contacted the lawyer, who falsely claimed she was visiting a friend. The husband later found his wife's body at the lawyer's residence and reported the incident to the police. Authorities quickly apprehended the suspects, solving the case within six hours. They have been booked under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
