In a tragic incident in the Yerawada area of Pune, India, 18-year-old Gaurav Ganesh Telangi was brutally murdered early Wednesday morning. The attack occurred around 12:30 am as Telangi and his friends were returning home after participating in celebrations for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary. Fearing for their safety after hearing what they believed to be a gunshot, Telangi and his friend Sayan Nizamuddin Shaikh fled, only to be pursued by assailants identified as Tofik Shaikh, Rajan Doraswami, and Samir Shinde, among others. The attackers used machetes and bricks, leaving Telangi severely injured. He was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have registered a murder case and are actively searching for the suspects. Investigations revealed that Telangi had past conflicts with the suspects, particularly relating to personal relationships and a previous violent incident involving Doraswami's brother. Authorities are exploring these connections to understand the motive behind the attack.
