The Redmi A7 Pro 5G has officially launched in India, marking the introduction of the first Pro model in the A-series lineup. This budget smartphone boasts a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits. It is powered by the Octa-core Unisoc T8300 chipset, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The device features a 32MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies. A significant highlight is its 6,300mAh battery, which supports 15W wired and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Running on Android 16-based HyperOS 3, the device promises 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches. It also includes an IP52 rating, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, dual 5G SIM support, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Redmi A7 Pro 5G is priced at INR 11,499 ($125) for the 4GB/64GB variant and INR 12,499 ($135) for the 4GB/128GB option, with sales commencing on April 15.
