This funding is part of the Partnership for Reading Success in Massachusetts III Continuation grants, which total over $4.3 million distributed among 16 school districts and educational collaboratives. The grants focus on evaluating, selecting, purchasing, and implementing high-quality instructional materials aimed at improving English language arts and literacy education. Recipients of the grant can choose from three implementation tracks: preparing to adopt new materials, launching the use of selected materials, or deepening the implementation of existing resources. This funding follows an earlier award of $96,245 to Milford Public Schools in the summer of 2024. Governor Maura Healey stated that these investments are crucial for ensuring all students in Massachusetts have access to effective instructional resources, ultimately equipping them with essential skills for academic success.
