High school students across New Hampshire's Lakes Region now have expanded educational opportunities through the Lakes Region High School Consortium, which includes 11 schools and serves over 5,000 students. This initiative allows students to enroll in courses at partner schools if those classes are not offered at their home schools or if the classes are already full. The participating schools include Belmont, Franklin, Gilford, Inter-Lakes, Kingswood Regional, Laconia, Merrimack Valley, Moultonborough Academy, Newfound Regional, Prospect Mountain, and Winnisquam Regional. Superintendent Michael Tursi emphasized the collaborative effort among school leaders to facilitate this cross-district enrollment, highlighting the importance of viewing students as part of a larger educational community.
