Vikrant Massey, the Indian actor known for his roles in various films and web series, has shared insights into his decision to take a break from acting in 2024. In a conversation with fellow actor Parineeti Chopra, Massey revealed that becoming a father to his son, Vardaan, brought emotional challenges that made it difficult to balance his work commitments with family life. He expressed feelings of 'dad guilt', stating that he often found himself preoccupied with thoughts of home while on set. A pivotal moment for him was when Vardaan attempted to say 'papa', which made him realize the importance of being present for his family. Massey noted that just like new mothers, fathers also experience a sense of vulnerability when leaving their children behind. He highlighted the societal expectation for men to be providers, which can lead to feelings of envy towards those who stay at home. Despite the challenges, he acknowledged that this period has been the most rewarding of his life. Massey announced his break shortly after the release of 'The Sabarmati Report' and has since appeared in 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' and made a brief appearance in 'O’Romeo'.
