In a troubling incident in North Rohini, Delhi, a confrontation between a woman sub-inspector of the Delhi Police and a 78-year-old shopkeeper escalated into an alleged assault. The officer, who was off duty and visiting for a medical consultation, parked her vehicle outside the shopkeeper's store. When the shopkeeper objected to the parking, a verbal dispute ensued, leading to eyewitness accounts of the officer slapping him. This incident has raised serious questions about police conduct and accountability. Following the altercation, both parties were taken to the police station, where an FIR was lodged against the officer under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). In response, the officer has also filed a counter-complaint.
