Delhi Police have arrested two men, Imran (37) and Mohammad Kamran (27), at Indira Gandhi International Airport for their roles in a transnational arms trafficking and terror module. The arrests occurred on Sunday following court-issued look-out circulars. This operation is linked to a larger network run by fugitive Shahbaz Ansari. So far, a total of 12 individuals have been apprehended, and authorities have recovered 23 sophisticated foreign-made firearms and 211 live cartridges. The accused revealed their involvement in receiving illegal arms shipments routed through Nepal, which were then supplied to criminal networks in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and beyond. The arms were transported in dismantled parts to avoid detection and reassembled for distribution. Additionally, police seized a car with concealed cavities used for transporting the weapons from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The syndicate operates through a structured cross-border network, with funds from arms trafficking allegedly supporting terror-related activities, reportedly backed by the Pakistan Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
