The Nashik office of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest software exporter, is embroiled in serious allegations of sexual assault and forced religious conversion. A witness has reported that some employees encouraged others to marry Hindu women and convert to Hinduism. The police are investigating nine complaints linked to these incidents, which reportedly occurred between February 2022 and March 2026. A special investigation team has been formed, leading to the arrest of seven employees, including six men and the HR manager, Nida Khan. Allegations include sexual harassment, coercion, and inappropriate behavior towards female employees, with claims that complaints were ignored by HR. TCS has stated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy on harassment and is cooperating fully with the investigation. Chairman N Chandrasekaran expressed that the allegations are gravely concerning and a thorough inquiry is underway to identify responsible individuals.
