Trimurti Films has filed a lawsuit against filmmaker Aditya Dhar's production company, B62 Studios, alleging that the song Tirchi Topiwale was used in Dhurandhar 2 without proper authorization. The song, originally composed by Kalyanji-Anandji for the 1989 film Tridev, is claimed to have been incorporated into the film's song Rang De Lal without obtaining necessary licenses. The lawsuit asserts copyright infringement, seeking an injunction to prevent further use of the song and damages for unauthorized reproduction and public communication of the work. Dhurandhar 2, which features Ranveer Singh in the lead role, has reportedly crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark in net domestic collections since its release on March 19. The film was released in multiple languages, including Hindi and Tamil, and has been noted for its commercial success.
