The Jammu and Kashmir police have successfully dismantled an interstate terror module associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), arresting five individuals, including Abdullah, alias Abu Hureira, who has evaded capture for 16 years. The operation, conducted with the assistance of central agencies, involved searches at 19 locations across Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Haryana, leading to the recovery of incriminating materials. Among those arrested were three residents of Srinagar: Mohammad Naqeeb Bhat, Adil Rashid Bhat, and Ghulam Mohammad Mir, alias Mama, who allegedly provided logistical support to the terrorists. Investigators uncovered that the LeT network was involved in facilitating the travel of foreign terrorists using forged documents. Over the years, the group has been linked to the infiltration of terrorists into India, commanding around 40 foreign terrorists, most of whom have since been neutralized by security forces.
