The opening weekend of the IPL saw dramatic matches that drew over 515 million viewers, a 26% increase from the previous season, driving fans to seek live viewing experiences. In Bengaluru, bars reported a 10-15% increase in footfall during IPL screenings. Overall, the restaurant industry is projected to grow to ₹7.76 trillion by FY28, with the IPL serving as a significant catalyst for increased dining out.
