A civil lawsuit has been filed by Chandrakant Balu Shinde and his mother Kamalbai against Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre and her husband Goldie Behl in Pune district, Maharashtra. They accuse the couple of encroaching on their 30 'guntha' of land in Uksan village and using intimidation tactics to forcefully take possession. The Shinde family claims to have cultivated the land as protected tenants since the 1940s, alleging that their names were illegally removed from revenue records in the 1980s. The dispute arose after the land was sold to a local individual in 2012, who later sold part of it to Behl in March 2021. The plaintiffs allege that Bendre and Behl attempted unauthorized construction on the land, threatening Kamalbai when she intervened. Bendre's lawyer dismissed the claims as an extortion attempt, asserting that her name is absent from any relevant documents. The case is scheduled for a hearing on April 24.
