In March, the Quant Small Cap Fund raised its stake in Adani Enterprises by adding 2.96 lakh shares, bringing its total to 27.64 lakh shares. It also increased its holdings in HDFC Bank by 7.53 lakh shares, totaling 21.48 lakh shares. Additionally, the fund acquired 3.66 crore shares of IRB Infrastructure Developers and 75 lakh shares of Manappuram Finance. The fund's total assets under management decreased to ₹25,820 crore from ₹27,653 crore in February. Despite these changes, the fund maintained its positions in 89 other stocks, including major names like Adani Green Energy and ICICI Bank. Launched in 1996, the fund focuses on capital appreciation through investments in small-cap companies and has adjusted its portfolio to include more large-cap stocks in response to market conditions. This strategy aims to enhance liquidity and reduce transaction costs, ultimately protecting against broader market declines.
