On Friday morning, a road rage incident in Aadarsh Nagar, Faridabad, resulted in injuries to 30-year-old Vivek Saraswat, who was shot at after confronting a suspect for reckless driving. The incident occurred around 10:25 AM on Balaji College Road. Vivek, a resident of Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, was commuting to his job when the suspect, riding a motorcycle with a female passenger, overtook him recklessly. Following a brief argument, the suspect pulled out a pistol and fired at Vivek, narrowly missing him and grazing his left cheek. Despite the attack, Vivek managed to wrestle the gun from the suspect, who then fled the scene with his companion. Eyewitness Tejveer Singh confirmed the confrontation and shooting. Local police responded quickly, seizing the firearm and motorcycle abandoned by the suspect. An FIR has been lodged against the unidentified shooter under Section 109(1) (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
