After sitting out a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, he bounced back with a strong performance against the Golden State Warriors, scoring 26 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing out 11 assists. He continued his scoring streak with 28 points in the following game before finishing the week with 18 points, four rebounds, and six assists against the Utah Jazz.
