Akshay Kumar's upcoming horror-comedy film, Bhooth Bangla, will now release on April 16 instead of its original date of April 10. The shift was confirmed by producer Ektaa Kapoor, who stated that the decision was made after discussions with distributors and exhibitors to allow both Bhooth Bangla and the currently successful Dhurandhar: The Revenge to have adequate space at the box office. The first show of Bhooth Bangla is set for 9 PM on its opening day, which will be treated as a 'paid preview'. This strategic move aims to prevent direct competition between the two films, with exhibitors supporting the decision. Akshay Kumar has previously expressed his happiness regarding the success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, highlighting its positive impact on the Indian film industry. Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, features a star-studded cast including Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav, and aims to deliver a lighter, family-friendly experience.
