On Thursday, two 30-year-old transgender individuals were arrested in Mumbai for allegedly kidnapping a 17-year-old boy and coercing him to beg in local trains. The boy's mother reported the incident after observing changes in her son's behavior, including altered mannerisms. The accused, who lived in the same locality, allegedly traced the boy to his native place in Uttar Pradesh, brought him back to Mumbai, and forced him to dress differently while begging. The mother discovered her son in unusual attire during a visit to the accused's house, raising concerns about possible harm. The police have registered a case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Investigations are ongoing, with police awaiting medical reports to clarify the situation.
