A 25-year-old woman, Priya Bhardwaj, tragically lost her life in a car fire early Saturday morning in Badaun district, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her husband, Arpit Bhardwaj (28), who was driving, suffered severe burn injuries and is currently in critical condition. The incident occurred around 1:30 am near Rauta village as the couple was returning home after Priya had undergone surgery at a hospital in Shahjahanpur. Reports indicate that Priya was lying down in the car when flames suddenly engulfed the vehicle. The couple was trapped inside as the doors failed to open. Villagers alerted the police, who arrived to rescue Arpit and transport him to the district hospital. Authorities have taken custody of Priya's remains for examination, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, including potential vehicle faults.
