West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during an election rally in Tentulia, North 24 Parganas district, alleging that the party brought in 50,000 outsiders from Uttar Pradesh to influence the recent Assam elections. Banerjee expressed distrust in the BJP, claiming that no agencies are neutral under their rule, and accused them of using similar tactics in West Bengal. She pointed out the deletion of 90 lakh names from the electoral rolls in her state, alleging that 60 lakh of those were Hindus and 30 lakh were Muslims, raising concerns about electoral fairness. Banerjee further warned that a BJP government would impose restrictions on food choices, contrasting the dietary freedoms of West Bengal residents with those in BJP-ruled states. She urged voters to consider her as the candidate for all 294 seats in the state assembly, emphasizing her commitment to securing votes despite the challenges posed by the BJP.
