The political landscape shifted after the last Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections, where the BPF emerged victorious. In this election, BPF is contesting 11 seats, while UPPL aims to field candidates for all 15 seats. Notably, Sewli Mohilary, wife of BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary, will make her electoral debut as a candidate from Kokrajhar.
