On Monday, the Delhi High Court ordered Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka to allow 25 students, whose names were struck off for non-payment of fees, to resume classes. Justice Jasmeet Singh criticized the school's repeated actions against students, describing the situation as unjustified and indicative of deeper issues within the institution. The court mandated that parents deposit 50% of the outstanding fees by April 17 to facilitate the students' return. This ruling follows a previous order from May 2025, which directed the school to permit students to continue their education while addressing fee increases. Parents of over 100 students had approached the court seeking contempt proceedings against the school's principal, Priya Narayanan, and the Management Committee chairman, Kaushik Datta, for allegedly violating earlier court directives.
