On Tuesday, Haryana's health department launched a statewide campaign in celebration of World Health Day, focusing on the theme 'Together for Health. Stand with Science.' Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Sumita Misra, highlighted the importance of combating health misinformation, stating that it is as critical as addressing diseases. The campaign featured 99 health camps, screening 4,251 individuals, including 370 children, and focused on early detection of non-communicable diseases. Among those screened, 231 were identified with hypertension and 165 with diabetes. Kaithal district led the initiative with 28 health camps, screening 921 individuals. The campaign also included health talks, yoga sessions, and extensive outreach through social media.
