Families are adjusting their wedding plans, cutting down on elaborate dishes, and relying on personal networks to find LPG cylinders. Some caterers have reverted to traditional cooking methods, using coal, firewood, and other fuels, which increases operational costs. Industry representatives remain cautiously optimistic, as oil companies are reportedly preparing to release 200,000 additional LPG cylinders to meet demand. However, the distribution method remains undecided. Meanwhile, some operators have turned to the black market to source domestic LPG cylinders, facing escalating costs and limited availability. The situation has created significant stress for families and caterers alike, but many are determined to celebrate despite the challenges.
