During a rally in Mayureswar, Birbhum district, West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure victory in the state elections scheduled for May 5. He pledged that if elected, the BJP would complete fencing of border areas within 45 days and take strict action against individuals who perpetrated violence against BJP workers during previous elections. Shah emphasized that the people of West Bengal are ready to reject the ruling Trinamool Congress party led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, whom he accused of fostering a climate of fear and corruption. He claimed that all 11 seats in Birbhum would be won by the BJP, urging the party's supporters to stand firm against intimidation. Shah also criticized Banerjee for her handling of funds and alleged that her administration is engaged in 'drama for sympathy' while failing to address the state's issues effectively.
