In a shocking incident in Orampada village, Jharsuguda district, Odisha, a woman reportedly killed her two children, a 5-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter, during a domestic dispute on Saturday night. According to police reports, the woman locked her husband outside their home after waking him up under the pretense of needing to step outside. Once he exited, she locked the door and attacked her children with a kitchen knife and an axe. Tragically, the husband, unable to re-enter despite repeated calls, sought help from his elder brother, who broke a window to find his daughter dead. The son was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The woman, who also inflicted injuries on herself and attempted suicide, is currently in critical condition. Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Gundala Reddy Raghavendra stated that the couple frequently quarreled, primarily due to suspicions regarding the husband's fidelity, and the woman had previously threatened to harm herself and the children.
