Vikrant Kashyap, a 29-year-old resident of Jhajra in Premnagar, Uttarakhand, was arrested during a joint operation by the Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) and Dehradun police under 'Operation Prahar'. He is accused of engaging in anti-national activities by allegedly sharing sensitive visuals of key locations in Dehradun with Pakistan-based handlers, including a terrorist and an Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agent. Police seized a .32 bore pistol, seven live cartridges, and a spray paint can from him. Kashyap reportedly contacted the handlers through social media platforms and was promised financial rewards and a settlement in Dubai. Investigators revealed that he was directed to spray the name of a terrorist organization at public places to instill fear and had plans to carry out attacks using explosives. The police have registered a case against him and are coordinating with various agencies for further legal action.
