Zydus Wellness, a prominent consumer wellness company in India, saw its shares soar by 13% today, reaching a new 52-week high of ₹552.40 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The stock opened at ₹489 and quickly gained momentum, trading at ₹537.40 by 2 PM. This surge occurred even as the broader Nifty 50 index fell by 200 points or 0.8%. The trading volume was notably high, with approximately 2.2 million shares exchanged, far surpassing the previous session's volume of 0.35 million. Over the past month, Zydus Wellness shares have rallied more than 30%, while the Nifty 50 index has only increased by 3%. Year-over-year, the stock has jumped nearly 55%, contrasting with the Nifty's 4.5% gain. Despite reporting a consolidated net loss of ₹39.9 crore in the third quarter of FY26 due to increased expenses and the impact of new labor codes, Zydus Wellness maintains a robust market capitalization of over ₹16,735 crore.
