Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee leader Sarwan Singh Pandher reported that wheat crops were flattened, and maize was also affected, demanding compensation of ₹70,000 per acre. The Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia noted that crops on over 1,000 acres were destroyed in the Majitha constituency, calling for immediate crop loss assessment or 'girdawari' and compensation of ₹50,000 per acre.
