A British mother and her daughter were detained at Valencia Airport in Spain after attempting to fly back to the UK with 42 kilograms of cocaine concealed in their luggage. The pair, aged 47 and 19, had arrived in Valencia for the Easter holiday and were apprehended shortly before the main celebrations. The drugs were packed within 23 packages in their suitcases, disguised as personal belongings. They were scheduled to return to Birmingham, UK, when they were arrested last Thursday evening. Following their court appearance in Quart de Poblet, a municipality near Valencia, they were remanded to a local prison. This incident adds to a series of drug-related arrests at the airport, including a recent case involving a couple caught with 33 kilograms of cannabis. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the latest arrests but are expected to do so soon.
