Kernex Microsystems (India) has announced the acquisition of a domestic contract valued at ₹67.53 crore (approximately $8.1 million USD) from the PCMM Office of Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW) in Punjab, India. This contract entails the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of onboard KAVACH locomotive equipment, adhering to RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020. The project is scheduled for completion by April 15, 2027. Kernex clarified that the contract is awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve related party transactions, ensuring transparency in the deal. Despite securing this contract, the company reported a 15.88% decline in consolidated net profit, amounting to ₹6.04 crore, although revenue surged by 97.23% to ₹72.60 crore in Q3 FY26 compared to the same quarter last year. Following the contract announcement, shares of Kernex Microsystems rose by 0.84%, reflecting positive market sentiment.
