Pearl Abyss, the South Korean studio behind Crimson Desert, is actively developing new features and improvements for the game, which launched on March 19. Following a mixed initial reception, the studio has been committed to enhancing the gameplay experience through regular updates. Upcoming features include replayable boss fights, new difficulty settings (easy, normal, and hard), and character improvements for the ancillary characters, Damiane and Oongka, who will receive new skills. Players will also enjoy quality-of-life enhancements like specialized storage for food and collectibles, as well as the ability to customize character appearances by hiding weapons. Graphical improvements are also on the way, including enhanced visual quality for distant backgrounds and refined controls for both keyboard and controller users. Pearl Abyss aims to roll out these updates gradually from April through June, building on the game's success, which has seen over 4 million copies sold.
