Speaking to the media in Kozhikode on April 14, 2026, he emphasized that the shift is not merely a response to anti-incumbency against the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government, led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)]. Parambil asserted that the United Democratic Front (UDF) is poised to perform well in districts traditionally dominated by the Left, including Kozhikode, Kollam, Thrissur, and Thiruvananthapuram. He predicted that several senior CPI(M) leaders, including current Ministers, would face defeat, with narrow victory margins for those who might win. Parambil noted a visible lack of confidence among CPI(M) leaders, as evidenced by their limited campaigning efforts. Additionally, he highlighted discontent among CPI(M) grassroots activists regarding the party's alliances with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Social Democratic Party of India, suggesting that this dissatisfaction could significantly impact the election results.
