Residents of New Friends Colony, Delhi, have lodged a complaint against Cambridge School for allegedly opening a third gate without proper authorization, claiming it has caused significant traffic congestion and posed safety risks. The school's headmistress, Hansa Kohli, stated that the gate was opened on April 1 to enhance student dispersal, reducing the time from nearly an hour to 15–20 minutes. However, residents argue that the gate was intended for emergency use only, and its regular operation has led to increased vehicle movement, constant honking, and stress for elderly residents requiring critical care. The situation escalated when residents blocked access for school buses and parents, prompting intervention from the NFC Residents Welfare Association (RWA). Chitra Jain, President of the RWA, emphasized the need for a long-term solution to balance the interests of both the school and the community.
