A tragic road accident in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, resulted in the deaths of four tourists, prompting a magisterial inquiry to determine the cause. The accident occurred on Saturday night when their tempo traveller fell into a gorge near Sojha on the Banjar–Jalori road. Among the deceased, two were from Delhi, one from Rajasthan, and another from Bihar. There were 23 people in the vehicle, of whom 19 were rescued and taken to the Civil Hospital in Banjar. Most of the injured have been referred to the regional hospital in Kullu and are reported to be stable. Banjar sub-divisional magistrate Pankaj Sharma stated that rescue teams promptly responded to the incident. Initial investigations suggest a mechanical fault may have contributed to the accident. The local administration has provided immediate relief of ₹30,000 (approximately $360 USD) to the injured, with additional support planned for the families of the deceased.
