The Connecticut Sports Media Alliance (CSMA) is set to hold its 83rd Gold Key Dinner on May 17, 2026, at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, Connecticut. This prestigious event recognizes athletes, coaches, and administrators who have significantly contributed to Connecticut's athletic heritage. This year's honorees include Rachele Fico, a standout in softball, and Nick Giaquinto, a Super Bowl champion with the Washington football team. Additional awards will be presented, such as the President's Award to Peter King, a former Sports Illustrated writer, and the Male and Female Athletes of the Year to Magnus Manley and Brooke Strauss, respectively. Tickets for the dinner are available for $80. Furthermore, the Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame will induct its 2026 class on April 26, 2026, also at the Aqua Turf Club, highlighting the contributions of various players and coaches in women's basketball.
