On Tuesday, a drone strike targeted the Komala party's Camp Sordash in Iraq's northern Kurdistan region, resulting in the death of a female fighter and injuries to three others, including one critically wounded. This incident marks the first attack on Iranian Kurdish groups since a fragile ceasefire related to the US-Israeli conflict against Iran was implemented last week. Commander Mohammed Hakimi from the exiled Komala party attributed the strike to Iran and its affiliated militias, emphasizing the ongoing tensions in the region. Additionally, another opposition group, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), reported a separate drone attack on its camp in the Koysinjaq district near Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, although no casualties were reported from that incident. The autonomous region is known for hosting various Iranian Kurdish rebel groups, which Iran accuses of being aligned with Western or Israeli interests.
