In a tragic incident in Bari Khas village of Shahjahanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, 25-year-old Shyam Sundar was shot dead late Tuesday night due to a property dispute. His brother, Brijmohan, was also attacked and seriously injured. The conflict reportedly arose over property left to Sundar by their maternal grandfather, who had no sons, leading to tensions with the grandfather's nephew, Dhanveer Singh. Earlier that day, Sundar had an altercation with Singh while cutting fodder in the field. Later, Singh allegedly arrived at Sundar's house and shot him when he stepped outside. The police have since taken Singh into custody and are conducting an investigation. The deceased's body has been sent for a postmortem examination, while Brijmohan is receiving treatment at a government medical college.
