On April 7, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate newly procured fire services vehicles and equipment at the Parade Ground in Amaravati. This initiative, part of a modernization plan costing ₹252.93 crore (approximately $30.5 million USD), includes assets worth ₹33.25 crore (around $4 million USD). The procurement features 25 Advanced Water Tenders, 40 Quick Response Vehicles, 50 Inflatable Rubber Boats, and 30 BA Set Compressors. The Central Government contributed ₹189.70 crore (75%) towards the modernization, while the state contributed ₹63.23 crore (25%). Notably, Andhra Pradesh has achieved the distinction of utilizing 100% of the central funds allocated for this initiative. Additionally, CM Naidu recently announced plans to build a statewide water grid to enhance irrigation and water security, with a focus on completing the Polavaram Project by 2027.
