In a significant development, police in Medininagar, Palamu district, Jharkhand, arrested two individuals linked to the murder of businessman Sameer Khalifa, aged 36. Khalifa was shot dead by three unidentified assailants at Palika Bazaar on Thursday night. During the incident, the attackers fired multiple shots into the air to instill fear among bystanders. The police received a tip-off that led them to the suspects, resulting in an encounter in which Faiz Khan was injured by gunfire to his legs. He was subsequently taken to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The motive for Khalifa's murder, who was involved in land and wholesale bag trading, has not yet been determined, and police are actively investigating the case.
