A 40-year-old Danish national, identified as Rene, was detained near the India-Pakistan international border in Bikaner district, Rajasthan for allegedly entering a restricted area without the necessary permissions. Police reported that he was found on Hospital Road in the Khajuwala area, which is known for its sensitivity and requires prior approval for foreign nationals to visit. Local residents alerted authorities, as foreign visitors are uncommon in this region. A police team, led by ASI Kishan Singh, responded promptly and involved the Border Security Force for further questioning. Rene, who arrived in India approximately seven months ago on a one-year tourist visa, initially communicated in English but later became unresponsive. Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachawa confirmed that Rene was sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre in Bikaner for detailed questioning, and efforts are underway to verify his passport details and contact the Danish embassy. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his entry into the restricted area, with initial assessments suggesting a lack of awareness regarding the restrictions.
