In the wake of the People's Democratic Party's (PDP) disappointing results in the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, party president Mehbooba Mufti is spearheading a grassroots campaign to reconnect with constituents. She defended the PDP's previous coalition with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a strategic move to protect Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
