During a recent event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that the era of riots and lawlessness in the state has concluded, asserting that his government will not permit criminal elements to thrive. He highlighted that the state's economy has tripled over the past nine years without imposing any new taxes. Adityanath inaugurated a multi-level parking facility and a commercial complex, while also laying the foundation for another complex in Pandeyhata. He emphasized the need for affordable rent in the new commercial spaces and tax relief for traders, stating that tax revenue should benefit development and welfare. Additionally, he announced a 20 MW floating solar power plant in Chilua Tal, which aims to enhance solar lighting initiatives and contribute to making Gorakhpur a solar city. Adityanath also assured the rehabilitation of traders affected by road widening projects and distributed allotment letters to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), India's government housing scheme.
